President-Elect's Message
Happy April,

This year is moving along quickly. I
hope everyone who was able to attend congress had a great time. I found it
educational and enlightening. I personally have gone to five Congresses and
at every one of them I learn different things regarding the association,
how things are organized , chapter duties and events that our chapter can
aspire to be great at . We have a large chapter and I really would like as a
chapter next year to present to the national association what our chapter
does. We do a lot for members and we as nurses contribute to a lot of
community projects. I challenge our chapter members to submit your projects
and we will put them together and as a chapter devise a plan as to what we
can contribute to Nursing and our community. As one of the oldest chapters
still inexistence today I would like to demonstrate to our colleagues that
we are still a viable and active chapter in our state!
On that note, I encourage members to go back
to school, it’s never too late! I graduated from nursing school in the late
70’s , one class at a time is fun and wow! Nursing theories, research and
finding your way through new technology is challenging and beginning
