Call to Order:   The meeting was called to order by Vice President Jim Stobinski, at Sharp Spectrum, San Diego, California @ 1850


General Meeting Minutes

Approval of Minutes:  The minutes of March 22, 2007 were approved as written.

Officer & Committee Reports:

 Presidents Report:

Candise is unable to be here, so there is no report.  Jim encourages everyone to read their AORN member bulletin for national updates.

 President Elect:

May 8 at 5 pm is the deadline for newsletter items.

 Vice President:

The spring workshop will be at Naval Medical Center.  May 19, 2007.  Cardinal Health will host breakfast, and Marlon Mason, Microtek, will host lunch.

Treasurer/Finance:

The Treasurer's Report is available to the membership via the newsletter and at the General Meetings.

By-Laws & Policy:

No report at this time

Membership:  

Membership Questionnaires:  Linda read the highlights from the questionnaire.  The summary of the questionnaire results are presented on page 6 of newsletter.

Legislative:

 No report

Nominating Committee:

  • Mel has telephone polled members, motivation to participate is at a all time low.

  • Nominations from the floor were requested at this time

  • The Ballot for 2007-2008 will be printed in the newsletter

  • The nominations for these offices were seconded and approved by the members.

Informatics:

The email on our website has been shut down.  To reach a board member please use the numbers listed in the newsletter.  Mel hopes to get the email working again in the Fall.

Hospitality:

Thanks to Sharp Hospital members for the refreshments. Our ways and means committee still needs ideas for fundraisers.  There are silent auction items tonight for everyone present, please make a bid!

Scholarship:

  • CNOR/CRNFA applications are available on line for members.

  • Scholarship applications will be available for the 2007-2008 on line, deadline is June 1, 2007.

Golf Committee:

June 8, 2007. Twin Oaks, San Marcos, CA.

Ways and Means:

Pins and Hats to sell at 2008 Congress is being researched.  A  scrub hat with sayings embroidered on the rim is being looked at.

Research:

No report

Unfinished Business:

  • Nancy Lilliott, CCI Board Member has donated $500.00 to benefit the chapter

  • $200.00 will go to sponsorship in the Golf tournament.

  • $50 for a door prize for the golf tournament.

  • $250.00 to sponsor our President elect to attend the Leadership Conference this summer. 

New Business:

None

Announcements:

  • CCI is starting up CNOR portfolio, this is a alternate method to renew your CNOR, Nancy would like 8 volunteers, if you are planning to renew in the coming year.

  • CCI willing to serve forms are due May 1, 2007.

There being no further business to conduct, the meeting was adjourned at 1915.  The next meeting is scheduled for 1815 May 24, 2007, at Tri City Medical Center, Oceanside, CA.
